We had most wonderful stay in Ostello di Chiara. Beautiful, large room with own bathroom. Well working WiFi and AC. Tasty breakfast with coffee, juice, cereals, yoghurt, bread etc. The house in centro storico is really amazing. Crotone is a nice town with excellent Beach and nice lungomare.

The property is situated 1.9 km from Riaci Beach, 2.3 km from Santa Domenica Beach and 4.1 km from Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell'Isola. Staff on site can arrange a shuttle service. This was by far the most unique hostel experience I've ever had. The feeling right now after I left it is the most positive possible, despite the couple of things that I can find, let's say, not so great. First of all, it all seemed like you're there visiting a friend. All the people were so friendly, nice, welcoming... I'm not taking about the staff yet, I mean guests. I was lucky to have a roommate from a neighboring country so for me each time I was in the room was filled with conversation, which meant a lot since I was traveling alone. You can use the kitchen like in your own house, it has everything. They even brought fresh onions and tomato juice from the people that share the property. The bigger bathroom is superb, clean and spacious. It even has a washing machine. The rooms are ok, a bit small for 6 people but you get used to it. Nice thing that you installed the ropes for drying the clothes.The AC (when not set to blow directly to you at max speed) does a great job. And then comes the staff. Such a wonderful people, who made me speechless a couple of times with their care and thoughtfulness. Melina, thanks for everything. Your gestures meant a world, and what is more, you did all that without me asking for it. It all sure felt like home!

Half way through the week we were given a tray of anti pasta which although unexpected was a nice gesture. The hostel was above a supermarket so food and drink were readily available as the room had no facilities other than a fridge. Please remember this is a hostel and not a hotel. It was good value for money.
