The breakfast was satisfying with bread, bacon and egg and tea/ coffee. We drove, therefore it’s convenient and it’s quite accessible to the blue pond and flower fields. The owners are extremely kind and helpful. It is located further out in the countryside which is peaceful and quiet. The home is a typical Japanese home with tatami rooms and shared bathroom and ofuro, it’s a good experience for foreign travellers wishing to stay in a clean and affordable accommodation in Furano.

Toyako Guest House Ponkotan is situated in Lake Toya, in the Toyako Onsen district. With free WiFi, this 1-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and a shared lounge. I don’t often write reviews but my stay in this hostel just needs one. I stayed here for only one night on my trip trough Hokkaido and it was just amazing. The accommodation is clean and cozy and the beds are soo comfortable. But the best: the hosts. They were so kind and helped me with all my questions. English conversation is also possible! :-) Since it was heavily raining on the morning I left, the offered me a drive to the bus station. Thank you so much, Keiko-san, arigato gosaimasu.

Including introducing travelers to one another, and overall help her guests truly feel at home. Cant wait to come back again

I loved everything in this hostel! The owner and the staff were very nice. They helped me bring my luggage to my room and always poured me water when I needed to refill my bottle. They were very helpful in suggesting places to eat and visit. The hostel is very cozy and clean. It can get challenging to go to the hostel from the train station especially when you have a luggage but aside from that, everything was perfect and I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in sapporo :)

Yoshie was super welcoming and made the guest house feel like home. The shared space is quite small so it was easy to talk to other guests, which was the highlight of my stay. Would definitely come back if I was ever in Sapporo.

Shabby House is a 60-year old traditional Japanese home that is situated in Sapporo. Nishisenjuyojo Station is a 3-minute walk away from the property. A unique and charming place. The owner is super friendly and welcoming (he even let me borrow his bicycle), the room is pretty big for japan, the location is great, the breakfast is nice, and above all; the place is cosy and comforting.
