Located in the centre of Santa Marta, 600 metres from Bahía de Santa Marta Beach and 200 metres from Santa Marta Cathedral, Hostel paradise St offers free WiFi and air conditioning. What a great place! Ideal location- step out the door into the pedestrian zone. I stayed in a large, private room with 2 King beds, with bathroom and A/C. Bed very comfy. Very clean! A large bathroom sink; I appreciated having a fridge...all the coffee I could drink, and hot water for tea (at the reception). The room was very quiet overall - I did not need earplugs! (there will always be a certain level of noise anywhere you stay in Latin/South America in my experience). The receptionist was always "a pendiente". Highly recommend!

Situated in Santa Marta, 2.7 km from Castilletes Beach, ECOCABAÑAS DIOSA JAGUAR tayrona features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a bar and a shared lounge. The property was fantastic! Cute cabins with everything you need. Felt a good combination of private space but also a communal area.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Casa Feliz Hostal is a recently renovated guest house situated in Santa Marta, 1.4 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. Very friendly homestay, a small room but clean and perfect for a short stay. The bus to Tayrona passes a road less than 5 mins walk away. Excellent value.

A recently renovated property, Rivera Hostel is set in Santa Marta near Salguero Beach, El Rodadero Beach. The air-conditioned accommodation is 2.6 km from Playa Cabo Tortuga. Great family hostel! Super friendly people!

Casa chill out, a property with a garden, is situated in Minca, 21 km from Santa Marta Gold Museum, 21 km from Santa Marta Cathedral, as well as 21 km from Simon Bolivar Park. Super friendly and kind host. Nice balcony and common areas where you can relax watching hummingbirds and many other birds. Great location, surrounded by locals, a bit away from the main street in Minca. Accommodation is spacious, nice, and clean, but very simple.

Eco Hostal Kuima is located in El Zaino and features a pool with a view and mountain views. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. Do yourself a favor and book this eco hostal! It was AMAZING!! The rooms were spacious (including a hammock on your balcony, ensuite bathroom, aircon and TV), the breakfast was lovely, the pool was beautiful and the views of the river made and surrounds put you at ease. The location was also ideal, walking distance from really good restaurants and about 2kms to the entrance (El Zaino) of the Tayrona National Natural Park. P.S. Getting there was also easy, just take the green bus (not sure the name) from Santa Marta and hop off right at the Hostal.

Set in Taganga, Hostal Palohe Taganga offers beachfront accommodation 300 metres from Playa de Taganga and provides various facilities, such as a fitness centre, a garden and a bar. Everything was amazing! Everyone was super friendly, kind and helpful, made us feel very welcomed :) The location is great, the facilities are great - outside hammocks, a swimming pool, kitchen, clean toilets and bathrooms. Everything was very clean! They will even let us keep our luggage at the hostel while we'll be travelling around for a few days. They gave us a lot of information to organise our next trip and helped arrange activities in Taganga! They have an AC, you can also do laundry there - 20k for 4kg. A great place with great people!

Very clean and they offer cleaning service every day. The bed was really comfortable. The AC worked great. Very good wifi. The staff is always ready to help. Mini fridge in the room! Safe area. Good shared kitchen with lots of space. We loved it!

Casa Pozo Azul is located 2 km from Minca in the Magdalena Region, 17 km from Santa Marta. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and restaurant. Very peaceful, right above the river, very friendly staff, good food for good value.
