The Hotel Exmo was recommended by our cousin and we couldn’t be more pleased! The hotel is well situated to the waterfront and the older section of the city making it very walkable. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, assisting with a tour to the Douro Valley (do it!) and helping with train reservations. We highly recommend Exmo!

Situated in Porto’s Ribeira district, this 4-star hotel is situated in a refurbished, historic building overlooking the Douro River. It offers air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Great location near river. Walking distance to a lot in the area including walking the bridge to Guia. Staff was friendly and recommended best place to park when asked. I would recommend staying here.
