Hotel was nice we was on a business trip but the spa in the evening was a nice touch. Walking distance from nice town although we would not recommend walking back in the dark as we did. Easy parking on road outside hotel.

The hotel was situated in a great central location. The staff were very helpful from reception, bar staff and cleaning. The rooms were spacious and airy. Perhaps a little dated but very authentic which I loved. The beds and pillows very comfortable. It was my first time staying here but the 3rd + 5th time for my son and his fiance. They are looking for a wedding venue and I think we may have found it!

Montecatini Terme has been known for centuries as one of the most famous spa towns in Italy. Located in the Tuscan province of Pistoia, the town started the process of building baths to contain the thermal waters at the foot of the Montecatini hill as early as in 1530.
The famous baths of Tettuccio, Bagno Regio and Terme Leopoldine were built in the 1770’s, during the rule of the Grand Duke of Tuscany Leopold of Habsburg-Lorraine. It was only at the beginning of the 20th century and after several changes of names that it started to gain fame as a popular resort.
New baths and spa hotels were built at Montecatini’s foothill, growing the quality of the services, and changing the conceptual approach. The baths were joined by Art Nouveau buildings, as well as a casino, theatres, restaurants and nightclubs. Famous intellectuals and artists of the time like Giuseppe Verdi and Luigi Pirandello could often be seen around.
It can be reached though both the Central and the Monsummano railway stations. Florence Airport is 47 km away, while Pisa Airport is 65 km away. Find the accommodation that best suits your needs on Booking.com and enjoy a sothing hooliday in Montecatini Terme.

Nice place, but our main destinations were Florence and Cinque Terre. There are good train connections.
We made some short walk tour in park and went to Montecatini Alto by "Funicolare"-cable-operated carriages dating from 1898.

We used Montecatini as a base to explore the rest of this Tuscany area. We spent a few days exploring Montecatini and then took a train to visit the other cities. It is easy to travel to Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Pistoia, as they are all on the same direct railway line.
The funicular to Montecatini Alto makes for a good half day excursion.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from offering everything from basic pizzas to high quality steak meals. You can select a meal to suit your taste and budget.
There is a large and quiet park where you can walk or just sit in the shade of the trees.

I had the pleasure of visiting Montecatini Terme recently, and I must say it was an incredible experience. The town's natural beauty and charming atmosphere left me enchanted. The healing thermal waters and the rejuvenating spa treatments provided a perfect opportunity for relaxation and wellness. The parks and gardens were simply breathtaking, offering serene spots to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. The local cuisine was a delight, with an array of delicious Tuscan specialties to savor. The hospitality of the people was remarkable, making me feel welcomed and cared for throughout my visit. Montecatini Terme is truly a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful and revitalizing getaway.

Stayed here as wasn't prepared to pay stupid prices to stay in Florence. It was a bit of a hunch to stay here, but was perfect. It is about 30mins from Florence on a cheap and frequent local train, or Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio the other way.
There are some lovely buildings there and the thermal baths are open in the morning (although not sure you can go swimming in the pools). There is a great outdoor eating area, just next door to the open air theatre. A trip on the funicular railway to Montecatini Alto is well worth it.
The area seems to have suffered a little from covid, with many hotels closed and abandoned. However, it seems to be picking up and there were plenty of international tourists staying there. There are some very smart shops starting to re-open.

A grand, old, typical Italian hotel close to the park and the town centre. The staff were very friendly, particularly the waiting staff in the restaurant. Our room was large with a big modern bathroom & we had a huge terrace with great views (room 370). The evening meal was good in the restaurant. Breakfast was simple, Italian style, but we are used to that. It was very close to the start of Terme parkrun which was one of the main reasons we visited the town. The pool was quite small but good for a dip on a hot day.
Perfect location for easy access to the train station and all the sights. With the help of the hotel clerk I was able to walk around town, see the sights in a beautiful afternoon, take the funicular up to Montecatini Alto for the view, dinner and sunset - Amazing day trip from Florence to Bologna! If you have a chance try www.simonagalabaronti.com shop and restaurant in Montecatini Alto, amazing food and style!
This is a large hotel, we chose it by chance on the way, because there are a lot of hotels in this town with thermal springs and all were available. Then I studied the history of this city and realized that the thermal complexes cannot provide a sufficiently high-quality service, so this many large hotels are not in demand. We liked the conditions at the hotel: bed, bed linen, breakfast, late check-out.
Super friendly staff - both written and in-person communications were excellent! Breakfast was nice, rooms & towels are extremely clean. The location is great - just 7 min walk to train station and few minutes to the park, Terme Tettuccio, Tamerici and funicular. It's around 15 minutes by car to Grotta du Giusti Spa, which I was suggested is the best spa option nearby.
The breakfast was great. Our room, after we upgraded to a suite was amazing, the view and balcony was just incredible. The first room we had booked was a superior double and was a little small for us,
nothing wrong with it apart from that. Location good about a 10 min walk to the main town of Montecatini Terme.
Real tuscan house. Great host, 1 min walk from Montecatini Monsumano/Terme train station. Comfortable, easy check-in and check-out, spacious, quiet, and safe neighbourhood. Thank you, Manuela, for everything!!! I will recommend you to all my friends who will come to Italy!!
Hotel located in central area of Montecatini Terme in beautiful building and very pleasant and helpful and friendly staf. Comfortable big rooms with perfect cleaning. Refrigerator in rooms. Nice terrace with plants in pots - good place to have breakfast.
I have known the hotel for over 50 years as my family used to go to Montecatini Terme for the Spa facilities and always stay at Croce di Malta.
I had not been to Montecatini for 40 years. The hotel has been well renovated since then.
Diego & Riccardo at the front desk were so welcoming & helpful. Giovanna in the spa was a great massage therapist. And Ivan was such a wonderful waiter in the restaurant. Our room was beautiful & the whole hotel is very clean.
Extremely pleasant and lovely hosts. We were late in arriving, we called and no one saw a problem in that. The hotel is in the center of town and everything is close. The room was extremely clean, day by day.
Great location ! Close to the city center. Parking close to the hotel and also on site. Very clean, absolutely nice staff (Sr. Gabriel was very helpful). Breakfast was good. Very cosy place for families.
The hotel is vintage style, and the staff is very kind and friendly, especially the team in the kitchen. There was a lovely lady called Alessandra who served you with love
