Nice clean private room in the countryside. You can use fridge, coffee machine, kitchen utensils. Very tasty breakfast. We had just a sleepover but I can imagine staying here for few more days and explore Tuscany :-)
Really nice staff but they don't speak English, we don't speak Italian so the communication was kept via translator and by hands :-)

We chose Grosseto as a starting point to visit few places in Toscana by car. For this purpose, city was ok.
Grossetto itself inside the walls of the old town is ok, Piazza Dante deserves a visit. Not so much to do but ok, especially for the restaurants nearby (we have been at:
Il Melograno - tasty
Il Tagliapasta Grosseto - awesome
Locanda de' Medici Grosseto - awesome).
Just outside the old town walls, Grosseto is a quite neglegted and unkept city, which is a real pity.

Grosseto is a beautiful walled city.
Grosseto is a beautiful walled city. You get a real feel for local life there. And there are many great places to wander and get food and wine. I especially loved walking around the city walls, and looking at the variety of architecture. It's also a perfect base for exploring the maremma national park nearby. Which I highly recommend if you love nature. We enjoyed exploring the supermarkets too, and buying local produce to cook meals. And tried the local chianti too. Super.

The old town in Grosseto had some charm, but on a Sunday there were no people and everything was closed. They were all at the beach. The rest of the city was not so much to see. So stay a night passing through the area, and choose other days than Sundays.

Grosseto is a quiet jewel of a town far from the American tourist trade. It has all the comforts of a small town with a train station, bus connections and great taxi service. You can walk the city streets or the great wall in the day time and see the happy people enjoying life. At night, you see the street restaurants filled with people enjoying the offerings of food cooked by experts. The Duomo bell counts the hours giving comfort to your ears. Grosseto is a small jewel in the crown of Italy. It is not far from the maddening rush of Rome nor far from busy Florence. This is the place to rejuvenate and to experience the quiet beauty of Italy.

Small town but we rent a car and travel around !
We visit Siena , hot spring in Saturnia and San Stefano!
You definitely need a car !
Good food and great prices and nice people !
Restaurant Gli Attortellati was delicious !
This place is amazing. The host was very friendly and super supportive. He was always there when needed, the support he gave us was really outstanding and he exceeded our expectations as a host! The apartment is clean, nice and there is everything that is needed. I love the huge spaces outside, with gardens, massive fields and even a play area for kids with a trampoline and other equipment. My kids had a lot of fun playing there, then chasing the dogs and running around. This is one of the best places for family and children.
The rooms are very close to the station and to the Grosseto historical city center. Both the rooms and the common space is very nice, modernized, clean, comfortable and quiet. Serena, could not welcome us at the time we arrived (late afternoon), but promptly all the instructions for a self check-in were given via WhatsApp. She also "took care" of us by asking if everything was fine all the time. Really appreciated!
The staff was as welcoming and helpful as could be found. Give it five stars plus. Appreciated the personal (caring/ unobtrusive) and genuine hospitality that cannot be arranged in large chain hotels. Attractive hotel in the heart of Grosseto. The Airone will be our place to rest up over night when making our annual journey from the US to paint in our little hilltop Tuscan village.
Everything was great. The room was nice and clean. In the kitchen was everything what we need, plus the coffemaker was for free. Everyday, during the morning they sanitized the common areas. The hosts helped with references about the best restaurants and were so kind.. Definitely recommend. :) :)
Hotel is very nice, simple, clean, and stuff is friendly, and english speaking.
Location was suitable for us since it was close train station, when we arrived, and close to the bus station since we were going to the beach both days.
Center of the town is 15 min walk, so it is not long walk.
The Hotel is good, a bit 'old fashion', but it has all the basics you need and the staff is keen to "problem solving" not wasting time on empty mannerism. Plus the Restaurant is good and offers a good set of options for a family or more in general for travelers.
Spacious apartment, ideal for a family or a group of 4. Situated in a convenient location, in the charming Grosseto old town. In close proximity if very good restaurants and cafe-bars. The host, Barbara, is a very friendly and kind person. Highly recommendable.
The staff was very helpful, very cordial. It was a pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent. The bathrooms were in great condition. One of the best showers we'd had since traveling! The breakfast was perfect.
the owner was the best! flat in center, Everything was really close, personel was very nice and helpful! they did us breakfast and gave us really helpful tips and recommendation favourite restaurants, Everything 10/10
Quiet, felt like I was in the country. My room was on the second floor, and they had a lift. Close to bus stop. The local bar was close, had cold beer and sandwiches. Lots of local color.
Had a breakfast in morning.
The architecture, the transsexual art work in the lobby as well as the equisit breakfast buffet variety. A special mention should receive the roof top terrace. Wonderful view of the sunrise.
We just stayed here as a stopover on the way to Rome, but this hotel was quite nice, with modern rooms and a convenient parking arrangement.
Breakfast was well worth the price.
