Great location. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We had to leave early one morning- well before breakfast, and they prepared light breakfasts for 3 of us to have on the train. It was totally unexpected and greatly appreciated.
Absolutely top notch service 👌
Thank you so much

The Slaughters are gorgeous & if you love walking, you can walk from Bourton-on the Water , and also walk between Lower & Upper Slaughter. It’s relatively flat, so moderate fitness is adequate. Just make sure you have good walking shoes as it can be a bit muddy on the track

This area is so heavily burdened by tourists that I felt bad for contributing to the problem. It is picturesque and the people are lovely. If you are visiting, I hope you will have the manners to consider where you put your trash and to not obstruct other people when you are trying to get your 1000 pics for social media.

Bourton on the Water, is a beautiful country town but a nightmare on a bank holiday….too busy. The locals were not very welcoming and a little curt when speaking to you except for Venezia - the staff and family were very welcoming and the food was delicious. So too was The Willow. Staff were super friendly and food was good. The rest of the local community are quite rude, maybe they were exhausted from the Bank holiday weekend? Bourton on the Water is picturesque and very well worth a visit. It was lovely to sit along the river and people watch.

A lovely historic town with some tourist attractions within walking distance. We spent a day exploring the town and visited the model village, the motor museum and Birdland. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from; in warmer weather it would be lovely to eat outside and enjoy the views of the river.

The bar staff were most helpful
I had hunters chicken for my meal
The chicken was fine but I found the sauce overpowering and far to sweet
My room was comfortable and I slept well...although it was a bit of a hike up to my room
Breakfast the following morning
was OK but a little over cooked
Also no parking at this hotel meant I had to walk back from the Royal British Legion car park
in Bourton on the Water and
Then again on my return in the morning....not a long distance but long enough after a journey
Lovely little bungalow located on a quiet residential area. Not too far from the centre of Bourton on the Water - about 10 minutes walk. Also, walking distance from The Model Village, The Dragonfly Maze and Birdland. There is parking nearby. We did have issues with the water but the owner sorted that out promptly - continuously communicating with us and keeping us updated. I would recommend staying here, it's nice and cosy and quiet after a long day exploring the Cotswolds.
Lovely little place. Perfect for one night. Great central location in pretty Bourton on the Water. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The host was very friendly and came out to help us find a parking space when we arrived. She also offered us a map and was very knowledgable about the local area. Breakfast was fine. The cosy, homely accommodation, the friendly amenable host, and the stunning cotswolds location made this is a lovely short break.
Loved the feel of the property compared to a more traditional hotel - the atmosphere suited the cotswolds vibes in a way you wouldn't be able to replicate if it was a large business.
Location was faultless, and had excellent access/parking arrangements.
The toiletries/facilities were very thoughtful, and we really appreciated this.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful too.
Beautiful room.
The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. The staff and especially the owner (Gemma) was lovely and very helpful with ideas to see in the Cotswolds. The breakfast and service was amazing and nothing was too much trouble if not ordering off the main hot items menu.
Excellent value for money. Very friendly and helpful owners. Clean comfortable room. Superb breakfast and 10 minute pleasant walk along river into Bourton on the Water. We used this as our base for travelling around the Cotswolds.
small, cosy, independent hotel/pub in perfect location for bourton on water and rest of surrounding Cotswolds. Food including breakfast (included in stay) was fantastic. Staff very attentive, even when busy.

Will go back , a gem in bourton on the water .
The location was very nice in a little Cotswold village in easy proximity of both Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water. Breakfast was good. There was a decent choice of cooked breakfast, and it was cooked to order.
Excellent location for exploring the local area and just a short walk into Bourton on the Water. Good sized, clean room and excellent choice of breakfast. Pleasant surroundings in countryside setting.
The hotel was just what we expected from an 18th century hostelry. The location on the river couldn't have been better. It lived up to all our expectations. Bourton on the water is picture perfect
Great location, clean, perfectly represented by the pictures and description. Absolutely wonderful place to be based in the Cotswolds for a relatively reasonable price. Very comfortable.
Booking had a special price with breakfast that was cheaper than paying the cost at the hotel. The breakfast was amazing! Fresh and delicious options. Friendly and attentive staff.
Such a great location, right next to the River Windrush which is the central attraction of Bourton on the Water. A cosy place which is great for singles and young couples.
Beautiful location, one of the best Cotswold locations for dining, shopping and good launch point to visit other towns. Breakfast very good, generous with extra requests
Great breakfast, and very nice dinner next to the fire place. The room was in the back of the garden and quiet. Lots of great things to do near the hotel. Dog friendly!
