Very nice area with beautiful mountain views, right under the famous Mont Blanc, easy to access quite a lot of ski lifts taking you up to the ski slopes. Very high level professional ski slopes
Les Houches' downside is their council operated facilities have arrogant staff (not including the cashier staff who are very nice). Ski slopes sign posts are very very badly done and very unclear. Maps are not nicely done not clear.

I never been treated so bad by a receptionist like in this hotel. I called in the afternoon trying to find out how to get there from a sports event I was attend in Chamonix, and besides saying that this was not her problem, she turned the phone off on my face. I walked for 1h20 with my bags in the middle of the night to get there. Next day I explained the reason I could not stay the 2nd night, and she prompt said she would refund me. After quite few emails and now answer, I left a review here explaining other people that if you dont have a car, its impossible to reach the place (but they do not mention this on the hotel description). So today I called the hotel to follow up about my refund and the lady she screamed at me on the phone. She said because of my review, she would not refund. And again, that was my problem how I would get to the hotel. She turned the phone off on my face again. Never had such treatment in years booking hotels for my sports events.
I would like to let everyone knows about this situation, so no one can be fooled like I was.

Les Houches is a great little ski area.
Les Houches is a great little ski area. It may not have the long runs of some resorts but we enjoyed all it had and enjoyed not having to queue for lifts. We actually had a full week of sunshine - which always helps, but is not able to be controlled.
The breakfast was excellent. We had a nice view from the balcony. The décor was very modern and attractive. There was an elevator and hence it was easy to bring the luggage to the room on the 3rd floor. There was paring on site. We got there by 9 PM and there wasn't much room. But in the morning could move the car to a regular parking spot. The scenery is spectacular in the area. There is a free bus, with a stop a block away, that can take you into Chamonix. But there is also sufficient parking in Chamonix anayway.
I stayed here for a month solo
- safe location. Walked from the bus stop at 2am and always felt safe.
-bus stop 5 minute walk away
-family owned and speaks English
- well equipped kitchen
-responsive with messages and requests
- COMFORTABLE beds and pillows. I loved the soft lighting in the room.
-clean clean clean
-5 minute walk to ski mountain (Les houches)
- hiking next to chalet. Loved exploring the woods
-busses every 30 minutes to Chamonix
Good room, cleaned well daily, comfortable bed, super hot baths, outstanding balcony views to Mont Blanc and Aiguille du Midi. Nice varied breakfast options. Restaurant dinners tasty from broad menu. Wife enjoyed the pool and sauna. Morning shuttle minibus to Bellevue cable car or Prarion gondolas. Pick up option too. Chamonix Bus Route 1 stop a few minutes from hotel, free with lift pass. Excellent friendly little equipment hire shop just across the road.
As a group of three people, we all enjoyed staying at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast (buffet) was great, even though you didn't have a lot of choices, and the staff was very friendly and willing to help us whenever we had a question. It's a very easy place to reach and its location is perfect! Les Houches is not that far away from Chamonix (15 mins) and the bus stops are near the hotel.
Location was ok if you have your own means of transport. The drive from the hotel to downtown Chamonix is about 20 minutes drive. If you want a public transport, you can walk for about 45 minutes to the next village/town and catch a train to wherever you're going. Guests gets a free train pass for the entire duration of their stay.
The hotel is super cozy and the room was great for us and the children. It was very clean and organised every day. The breakfast is paid, but it is very well served and with lots of options. It is just a few minutes away from Chamonix and close to the main attractions. The overall experience was great and I can only recommend it.
The location of the apartment was amazing, so close to the ski lift, with the car park with managed access ensures you always have a space. The apartment is beautiful, everything you need away from home. For 2 people staying I'd recommend this as a perfect base for Les Houches ski area. Restaurants in walking distance as well .
The perfect location in the best place in France. The view from the balcony of the Aguile de Midi is priceless and the beautiful Bellevue gondola is opposite.
Serge to rent skis from and the best Pizza restaurant downstairs. What more could you ask for?
Some more snow next time would be great.
To wake up in bed looking over to a view of Mont Blanc glistening in the morning diligent was a dream. Everything about the place was perfect. If you want to eat in the restaurant it’s good to book in advance, we didn’t and it was full, and there is not much on offer in Les Houches on a Monday.
Food is excellent and staff is very friendly. Very convenient location, about 10 minute drive to Chamonix and 5 minute drive to Les Houches. Great on site parking and convenient room to store ski equipment.
Room has cleaned every day! Nice size bathroom and beautiful mountain view.
I loved my room, the balcony view of the mountains was incredible. Staff was kind, breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Best sangria I have ever had. Location was close to the bus stop, an easy walk to the start of the TMB for me in Les Houches.
Loved the location , between the 2 attractions we chose to visit, Aguilera de midi and Mount Blanc tramway.
Loved the balcony from which we could see beautiful views of Mont Blanc .
Very good price for lodging near Chamonix and short drive.
The hotel has the perfect view of Mont blanc, a few minutes drive to main Chamonix town and calmness of a resort. We loved the breakfast. I am back home but still craving for the yummy brioche perdu we had every morning
Gorgeous apartment in a pretty good location in Les Houches. Mostly modern furnishings, roomy, and comfortable, outfitted with three (!) quite large balconies.
Nice little room with balcony, excellent view on the mountains.
Good breakfast.
In walking distance of Les Houches train stop, bus stop nearby.
