A small town with plenty of history, particularly of the Sherry trade (Osborne in particular).
Small enough to walk around comfortably, though there seemed to be no shortage of taxis.
Uncrowded (late April).
Many good restaurants and bars.
Very convenient for travel to Cadiz and Jerez.

This was a great clean hotel, with a really comfortable and spacious room. The minibar was a nice addition, and not excessively priced, though admittedly very limited options. Although the room had great soundproofing from the street, there was quite a lot of noise coming from nearby rooms and downstairs in the reception.

We came to the town from Cadiz. There is no comparison.
We came to the town from Cadiz. There is no comparison. The town is busy but not trendy as claimed in all the media. You can find a good restaurant or two if you do the legwork.
The harbour is not on the sea but on the river. We didn't think it worthwhile to try the beach.
We will can't see what all the fuss is about and will stick to Cadiz in future

Lovely town with some great beaches.
Lovely town with some great beaches. Easy access to Cadiz via catamaran and Jerez by train although schedules aren´t as frequent as in some other parts of the Spanish costas. Some really good restaurants and great value. Will definitely go back again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was modern and spacious. The roof terrace was a bonus! Loved the concept of the “Honest Bar” which was a communal area for coffee/tea/snacks/cold drinks. We were there for a local wedding at the Castillo San Marcos (only 2 mins walk from the hotel) and we would highly recommend staying here if you would like to give Puerto de Santa Maria a visit. Location is very central within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and train station.
Before we arrived the hotel messaged us asking if we needed anything. The staff were helpful. The room was clean. The room had a shower in the bath which is useful for families with small children. They serve breakfast in the morning. Check In and check out are at good times. The room has a TV and WiFi. The hotel gave us a key to get back into the hotel so we don't get locked out if we return late to the hotel. There is free street parking directly outside the hotel.
This apartment is in the center of Puerto with the hustle and bustle of southern Spain just outside. Open the persianas and patio doors and enjoy the sounds of the city while enjoying a glass of wine on the second floor patio. Restaurants and shops as well as the river and ferry to Cadiz are all within walking distance. The apartment is spacious and could easily accommodate a large family.
Parking - in front of the hotel is very big free parking although hotel says it has no own parking. Next to it is also paying parking. We didn't checked the price but the quarter isn't lovely so I don't think it is expensive.
Nice room as is on the pic. Very nice polite receptionists.
This is a family run hotel where everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We liked the room as the beds were super comfortable and the bathroom/shower great. Location within easy walking distace of bars and restaurants.
the hotel was very good value for money, had a big room with 3 beds for the family. there was a sitting area and kichenet which works really well while travelling with kids. staff was very friendly and room clean.
Our third stay at Puerto Sherry although this visit was at a different time of the year. We were not disappointed and as the weather was extremely good, the use of the hotel pool was an added bonus.
The room was comfortable and clean. Even though there is a busy square next to the hotel, we did not hear a sound a night because the rooms are soundproofed. The staff was also very nice.
Historical building just off a famous vinegraria de Xeres
Spacious rooms typical of Southern Spain
Great buffet breakfast
Very professional and attentive staff all accross the facilities
Staff were friendly and Rebeca was outstanding. The ambiance, setting and character of the hotel were great. Location was also good right at the door of the old town.
