Marathon is a great stop before going to key west or if you want to fish or do activities. KW isn't a great destination for that. Marathon is much quieter but also closes early. I'd much rather stay in Marathon for a longer part and do an overnight in KW.KeithUnited States - 10Scored 10

Went to Bahia Honda State Park - beaches were ok. They offer paddle boarding and kayak rental there. went on several trails, which were nice. Went on the old 7 mile bridge (cloudy day), but didn't get to see sunrise. Drove out to see mini deers and got to see a glimpse of one (it was not near sunset or sunrise, which is the time they recommend you go to see them).Joo - 10Scored 10

We visited the Sea Turtle Recuse Hospital and it was amazing. They are doing such a great job . We ate at a lot of restaurants that was on our List and a few from recommendations from Jason ( Front desk Clerk-awesome guy). Check-in was efficient and fast, rooms were in pristine conditions, beds extremely comfortable, very nice decorated and a very nice view from our room in the 4th floor. Pool area and bar are very good and helped us to relax and enjoy few drinks. Breakfast was outstanding in our last day, items are simple but portions were generous, service was phenomenal and we felt very welcomed and everything was very tasty.

Reception offered free use of bikes, games/puzzles, corn hole, and tennis/shuffleboard equipment. Each unit had its own grill and laundry machines. I was disappointed in the location as far as the access to a beach. There is a very nice one about 2 miles away. I thought it would be close enough to walk to the water but the closest water was private access only. The price was a little high for the room but I guess that is what you get in the Keys. The room seemed clean enough just old and needy.

We took advantage of both of the pools, which were clean. The one next to the marina has food and drink service pool side and good happy hour specials. We also used the washer and dryer located in the same building as the restaurant. The hotel is a good jumping off location for exploring Marathon and Bahai Honda.

The property is set back from the main highway which made it a quiet place to relax. For the amount of rooms at the resort there was more than enough space and equipment for everyone. Considering that it was fully booked, we only saw a few people every day. The staff were attentive and helpful whenever needed.

It is a Motel as you would imagine a motel on the Florida Keys! There is a beach about 10 minutes drive away, A great place to have breakfeast is the Stuffed Pig, just down the road. Key West is an easy 1.5 hour drive away. The Motel is privatly run, so it is not a chain-hotel, but has its own charm and warmth. I would deffinetely go back!
